With 20 years of industry and consulting experience, Berne has provided strategy programs and workshops to technology-based groups throughout the U.S., and in such diverse locations as Singapore, China, Japan, India, Brazil, and Germany.
Dan helps clients like HP develop brand and design strategies based on market analysis, deep customer insights and portfolio planning. He helps marketing teams reconcile brand goals and budget constraints, and works with global teams to build common ground for brand coherence. Through his workshops, Dan helps design teams create products and experiences that are appropriately compelling, consistent and cost-effective.
Prior to founding Design4Brand, Dan directed the brand and product design strategies for Hewlett-Packard's Inkjet business, including the HP Deskjet®, Officejet®, Photosmart® and Edgeline® Technology product lines. He designed and delivered workshops to business units and channels across HP worldwide. His leadership provided HP inkjet printers market leading designs that increased channel and customer acceptance of new products. He revamped HP’s low-end printer business model, turning that market segment from negative to positive profit margins, while increasing worldwide market share leadership.
In addition to his Master's Degree, Dan is completing his Marketing Fellowship at the Kellogg School of Management.
